Psalm 3:3
3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
Receive the healing, loving, supporting and gentle hand of our Lord! How many times has Jesus lifted your head from depression, grief and despair? The wings of HIS love protects as HE stops the warfare and pulls us out to apply the balm of peace, hope and strength to return back to win the battle!
This is a beautiful and encouraging psalm. David wrote it when he was running out of fear for his life. David was afraid and immediately prayed to his Lord for help. Throughout Psalm 3, David called God, my LORD (using 4 capital letters). Although David did not have a good reputation (he was a murderer, committed adultery and had a sinful nature), I believe he had a very special relationship with God, and He was the LORD (center) of David's life. David demonstrated through Psalm 3, his love, trust and faith in his LORD to protect Him from enemies, eliminate his enemies, and restore him back to his rightful place as the king. It is obvious David had a repentance spirit and knew how to get back in right standing with his LORD. …
